Jordan Naihe

Co-Executive Director

Jordan oversees construction and workforce development for the Hemp Hale Initiative. He brings lived experience with the housing barriers Native Hawaiian families face, having built three homes for his own family on DHHL land. That experience gave him firsthand insight into local permitting, financing, and construction management.

Jordan previously managed residential projects, overseeing budgets, permitting, scheduling, and on-site operations. As an experienced teacher, he brings a passion for education to the Initiative’s workforce training. He also helped bring the Ho‘ākeolapono internship program to Hawai‘i Island, connecting Native Hawaiian apprentices with paid, hands-on carpentry training.

A licensed Realtor and member of the Living Future Indigenous-Led Community, Jordan is co-leading the first permitted industrial hemp home on Hawai‘i Island and developing a model for regenerative, culturally rooted housing.

Outside of the Hemp Hale Initiative, Jordan loves spending time with his two kids, traveling, hanging out at the beach, and cooking.
